1. What We Collect

To operate Shopter.ai, we collect:

Account information: name, email address, and a securely hashed password
Listing and purchase data: items you list, buy, or make offers on, and their prices
Photos you upload: for item listings, ShopScan™ identification, Style Twin™ try-on, and receipt verification
Browsing activity: items you view, search for, or try on, used to personalize what you see

2. How Your Photos Are Used

Photos you upload are processed for a specific purpose and are not used for anything beyond that purpose without your knowledge:

ShopScan™	Sent to OpenAI for identification, per OpenAI's data handling terms
Style Twin™	Sent to Fashn.ai to generate your try-on image; Fashn.ai auto-deletes inputs and outputs within 72 hours
Receipt verification	Sent to OpenAI to check for authenticity red flags
Listing photos	Stored to display your listing publicly on the marketplace

3. Third-Party AI Providers

Shopter.ai uses trusted third-party AI providers to power its features, including OpenAI, Fashn.ai, and Anthropic. These providers process data solely to deliver the specific feature you're using, under their own respective privacy and data-handling terms.

4. How We Use Your Information

To operate your account, listings, purchases, and offers
To personalize what you see, based on your activity and stated preferences
To verify purchases and receipts for the trust and authentication features
To communicate with you about your account, orders, and offers

5. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your photos for any purpose beyond the specific feature you used them for.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to meet legal and financial record-keeping obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your Rights

You can:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and data
Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Children's Privacy

Shopter.ai is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including secure password hashing and encrypted connections, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Shopter.ai evolves. We'll note the "last updated" date above whenever changes are made.
